***** FAQ *****
If you have a question that isn't listed here, feel free to contact me.
What areas do you work in?
I am located in Rome, GA and I work in all of Floyd County. I am willing to travel to other areas outside of Floyd County for some events. Contact me for details.
What is your set-up? How much room will you need?
INDOORS: I will need approximately 8x8 feet of space. I will bring a tall director's chair and all of my painting supplies. I will need a table to set up on, so let me know if you don't have one and I will bring my own.
OUTDOORS: I will need an area to set up that is flat and sheltered from the elements, such as a carport or garage. I can not set up in direct sunlight, rain or extreme cold as this will ruin my paints.
What type of products do you use?
I use several different brands of professional, cosmetic grade paints and glitters. This means that my paints are SPECIFICALLY intended for use on the skin and my glitters are skin safe because they contain no metal and have soft rounded edges. I never use "craft" paint or acrylics as these can cause reactions, especially on sensitive skin. Just because a product is labeled as non-toxic does not mean it is safe for use on the skin. Acrylic house paint is safe if it gets on you, and it will wash off, but do you want a full face design using it?
How long does it last and how does it come off?
Face paint lasts throughout the day that it is applied, unless it gets wet. Sweating, rain or any other moisture will cause it to run and smear due to it being a water based paint. Removing it is as simple as rubbing the whole design with a mild liquid soap and then wiping or rinsing it off. Some colors (such as greens, blues, and reds) may leave a residue behind. If this happens, rub a moisturizer or baby shampoo into the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away.
Do you do free/discounts for charities or non-profits?
I would love to help you at your event, and even though I am unable to donate my time and materials for free, I have worked out two options for charity events:
***** Pay Per Face: I will appear at your event to offer face painting while charging my standard "pay per face" rates to the people who come to the event. At the end of the event a portion of my profits will go towards your fundraising efforts. The portion will vary depending on how many faces I do.
***** Discounted Rate with tickets: I can offer your organization a discounted rate that you will pay me and you sell tickets for the face painting to your guests. The tickets can be for however much you choose and all monies from the tickets goes to your organization.
*****NOTE*****
If your event is going to be a multi-hour event, contact me and we can negotiate rates.
Do you require a contract?
Yes, I have a simple contract that would need to be signed and returned to me in order to guarantee you a set time and date. Also, a small booking fee will be required to hold your date and time slot. The booking fee will be applied towards your final total (total will be due when I arrive at your event).
