3. Cancellations: I understand that things happen, so if you need to cancel your event, please do so in a timely manner so that I may still have time to book another event. If I am on my way to your event or have arrived before you cancel, you agree to pay the full amount of the booking, as I have upheld my end of the contract. Should I get sick and need to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement Artist, but if I am not successful any money paid by you will be refunded.

4. Indoor Set-up: I require a minimum of 6’W x 6’L of level space in a low traffic area (preferably in a corner), adequate lighting, access to a rest room and a place to dispose of my painting water. I will provide a tall director’s chair, table, and all supplies necessary.

5. Outdoor Setup: You provide me with sun/wind/rain shelter and adequate space and lighting to paint. I can bring my own outdoor set-up, but it will be an extra charge of $50.00.

6. Parking: The Client will reimburse me for any parking fees.

7. Limitations on Artwork: I will not paint on any part of the body that is not legal to expose, or any place I do not feel comfortable painting. I will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive, violent, or defies good taste.

8. Weather: For the comfort of your guests and myself, the Client agrees to provide an area with protection from extreme temperatures, sun, rain, snow and excessive wind. Client is responsible for providing an alternate indoor location in the event of inclement weather. The Client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once I have arrived at the event location, even if it is raining.

9. Extreme Adverse Working Conditions: I have the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extremely inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult, illegal activities, or otherwise dangerous weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold or lightning.

10. Liability Statement: While I use only FDA compliant cosmetic-grade make-up, I am not liable for allergic reactions. Children with skin allergies and/or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have me perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. For safety reasons, I will require children under 2 years old to be held by parent or guardian if they cannot sit in my chair by themselves. For sanitary reasons, I will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from: cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infectious skin condition, eczema or open wounds. I will use reasonable care, but I am not responsible for damage to clothing or property.

11. I will not supervise children. Their behavior and safety is yours and/or their parent’s responsibility. I cannot supervise/babysit other children and watch what they are doing while I am painting. Please make sure that a parent or guardian is around to supervise the children. You agree to reimburse me for my supplies if ruined by unsupervised children or any of your guests. I have put a lot of money into stocking my kit, so please help me keep interested little ones away from it.

12. Painting the Young and/or Unwilling: As much as most of us LOVE getting our face painted, there will always be people who do not wish to be painted. Please don’t try to force me to paint someone that is unwilling. As my customer I want to make you happy, but the idea of forcing a baby/toddler/child to get painted against their will goes against what face and body art is all about. From a scared child’s point of view, I am a stranger coming at their face with a long pointy stick, so some apprehension is to be expected. I will first try to paint a design on the arm if there is an aversion to the face. Face and body art is supposed to be a fun experience – enjoyed by kids and parents alike.

****Please keep in mind that I will only remain at your event for the time slot that is agreed to in this contract. I will start and finish at our agreed upon time so it is your responsibility to keep your guests coming to me so that I paint as many as possible in your time slot. If I have nothing else on my schedule, I may can stay longer if needed, but it will be an additional cost. ****

Please complete, sign and email this contract back to me promptly. Your date will not be held without a signed contract and paid booking fee.
